Question rewrite Rise to Rebellion

I have considered all suggestions for my research question which include the citizenship of my mother. My question will thus far be "How has the patriotism of Americans today differed from that of the patriotism during the American Revolution?" Sorry if it is a bit rough. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment I will gladly take all into consideration.
